In the sizing battery calculation. 0.85*0.6 were multpled with the battery voltage, what do those figure 0.85*0.6 stand for?

In the battery sizing and calculation, (0.85 * 0.6 * 12). What do those figure 0.85, 0.6 and 12 stand for? I guess 12 stand for the battery voltage.
