MINI IMPORTATION INTRODUCTION

Hello everybody welcome to this study. I am going to show you how you can start your importation business right from your home or comfort zone. As a matter of fact a lot of people talk about mini importation business especially here in Nigeria. I see a lot of young people blog about it and interestingly or rather ironically, these people know nothing about the real life importation business.  There is a popular saying that says: “Beware of a naked man that offers you clothing”

I must tell you that bloggers need content for their blog and they follow the content that interests people most in other to drive traffic to their websites, and mini importation is just one of those hot topics. In other words, these bloggers are most times not importers themselves. But on the other hand, this shows you that mini importation is the way to go, if not, a lot of people will definitely not be talking about it.

I have been importing since 2012. I have been to China twice and I bought and shipped goods from Guangzhou city and Shenzhen city all in China. I can confidently tell you that what I am going to show you on mini importation is far more cost effective and profitable than flying to and fro to China. I have been importing goods. I have been importing goods from my house in Lagos and in Aba, Nigeria since then and I do not think of going to China except for exhibition, conference or other very important meeting.

Let me give you a real life example. Like I told you, I have experience in this, lots of experience and I will share with you what going to China looks like to import goods.

First of all my Passport was virgin and Chinese embassy like many other developed countries have their reservation on virgin passports. So my Visa agent had to charge N450, 000 in 2012 to break this virgin passport and get me a visa. This means he will have to get a company in China to invite me on a very important business meeting, blah blah blah. Then my return ticket then was about N280, 000. I spent about N5, 000 every day in a shared hotel room for 3 weeks which is N105, 000. So what is the total so far? N835, 000. Now you’ll add my daily train and motor rides, feeding and other expenses to get over a million  Naira in expenses alone! This money is enough to buy and ship lots of goods that will make you over additional one million Naira in revenue!

1.1 So why do people still go to China to import goods?

Yes it is true that this topic is all about mini importation and those Aba and Alaba boys that go to China actually import containers and not smaller packages, but what I wrote above suggests that flying to China is really not necessary, most times.

Yes, that’s correct. So what you are going to learn in this guide will guide you from your mini importation stage to when your business will grow and you start importing containers.

So why do people still go to China? I wanted to find out myself so I asked my Nigerian friends if they would import from home if I showed them how. Two things I got from their response are:

1. Money sent over the internet might somehow be lost to scammers and phishers
2. They do not trust their suppliers to ship quality goods to them in their absence.

So I believe you can see that these are legitimate issues that do not only concern the big importer but also you that want to start small. In this study, I will show you how you can eliminate 99% of this risk and import your goods from China or elsewhere.
