Measurement of distance

Now you can measure distance in various ways and I believe you already know how to use a meter rule to measure distance.Apart from meter rule, you can also use a string to measure distance especially crooked distance that is not in a straight line. You can then straighten the string and measure the string with a meter rule.

Now there are other measuring instruments that are less common in our homes and everyday lives. We shall consider the Vernier caliper and micrometer screw gauge.
