A calorimeter contains 600g of water and 100g of ice at 0°C. A piece of hot metalof mass 1kg is gently added to the mixture in the calorimeter and this causes all the ice just to melt. Calculate the initial temperature of the metal. (Specific heat capacity of water=4200J/kgK, specific heat capacity of the metal=420J/kgK, specific latent heat of fusion of ice=336000J/kgK).
