Development: Is an increase in skills and complexity of function

1ST month | 1. Head needs support as it is not yet strong. 2. Hands are always tightly fisted. 3. Sleeps most of the time,wakes up,cries and feeds. 4. Responds to sound.

9th and 12th | 1. Stands with some form of support 2. Most children may start walking 3. Cuts more teeth 4. Can speak one or two words 5. Birth weight triples in healthy babies |
