What are Main Meals?
These are the real foods eaten usually three times a day, i.e. in the morning (breakfast), at noon (lunch) and in the evening (dinner). Main meals contain the essential nutrients required by the body for proper functioning. Example of main meals are fried rice with salad, beans with pap, yams, eba, fufu, etc.

Canned foods e.g. corn-beef, milk, sardine, tomato puree, sweet corn etc.
De-hydrated foods e.g. potato flakes, coffee, instant tea, etc.
Packed foods e.g. cakes and biscuits, etc.
Duties of Food Sellers/Providers for the Public
Food providers are responsible for the distribution and sales of food products to the consumer.
Food providers provide, restock and rotate food products.
Food provides resolve any service issues concerning consumers
Food provider must ensure food is safe for consumption.
Food providers should maintain food hygiene at all time.
